VIRTUAL STEAM PROGRAM: If I Built a House! with Miss Jane:

4:30pm - 5:30pm

 

Join us for a 1x a month STEAM program with Jane Christian for ages 5-8 years old and their caregivers! This group offers an activity that will incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math!

September's program features a reading of "If I built a House" by Chris Zan Dusen, with a Build- n- Strawz accompanying activity. After registering, the library will schedule a time for you to pick up the materials for the activity via our curbside service.

VIRTUAL PROGRAM: You & Me in Music

11:00am - 11:30am

In this developmentally appropriate music class for children aged 18-24 months, you and your child are invited to engage virtually through Zoom along with a limited number of participants. We will explore many aspects of music, including singing, playing instruments (you can use any instruments you may have or also pots, pans, and utensils!), and moving in a fun, interactive program that fosters social, emotional, and physical development.  Join us for this dynamic program led by Music Therapist, Renee Coro of Harmonious Happenings.

Geared for ages 18-24 months.

Virtual program: "Whose Shoes" Storytime for 5-8 year olds

4:00pm - 4:40pm

A storytime especially for elementary school-aged kids! Meet Youth Services Librarian July each Wednesday afternoon to "walk a mile" in the shoes of different real-life people! Each week July will will read picture book biographies about real people, some famous and some not, who have inspiring and fascinating stories.

VIRTUAL PROGRAM: Grow, Play & Learn for 0-4 year olds

9:30am - 10:00am

Come join us for stories, songs and skill building led by an Early Childhood Developmental trained staff member Jane Christian, who will guide caregivers in strengthening interactions with their child. Program includes curriculum, "Ages and Stages" questionnaire, and resources to fit your child’s individual needs.

This program will happen via video conferencing; registration is required. A link for participating will be emailed to you after we receive your registration; registration closes 15 minutes before the program begins.

The Hubbard Library has arranged an exclusive weekly visit with the Memphis Zoo in Memphis, Tennessee!

Senior Veterinarian Felicia Knightly will spend an hour each week giving an insiders view of what it's like to take care of the animals physically and medically, show us training sessions, and get up close and personal in a way you'd never get with a live zoo visit!
