"May the Fourth" Star Wars drop-in craft & paper games

May 4th has become unofficial Star Wars Day (as in, "May the fourth/force be with you!"), so we are celebrating it with some  drop-in fun! Make a mix & match Star Wars character, a Darth Vader mask, or mini puppets of your favorite characters, and as a bonus, do Star Wars themed crosswords, connect-the-dots, word searches & more!

Gravestone Studies Presentations

10:00am - 12:00pm

Are you interested in art, history, genealogy, gravestones, or archaeology?  The Association for Gravestone Studies Western New England invites you to a 2-hour series of presentations about these topics.  Featured speaker, Dave Robison, a professional genealogist and local historian, will talk about the creation of Quabbin Park Cemetery and discuss some of his experience with Find-a-Grave as a contributor for more than 17 years.  Bob Drinkwater will give a presentation on 18th– early 19th-century gravestones and stonecutters in the greater Springfield area.  Additional presenter TBA.  Please call the library at 583-3408 or stop by the circulation desk to register.

Storytime for 3 - 5 year-olds

10:00am

Celebrate spring things in this 6 week series of storytimes for 3-5 year olds, Each storytime includes about 30 minutes of stories, finger-plays, songs and games related to that week’s theme, followed by a craft project and a snack; the total storytime runs approximately 60 minutes.

Please note that when you register, you are signing your child up for the entire 6 week session.
