Museum of Bad Art Tour

1:00pm

Join the Ludlow Senior Center and Hubbard Memorial Library in Tour of the Museum of Bad Art sponsored by The Ludlow Cultural Council on Zoom.

The MOBA collects, exhibits, and celebrates art that will be seen in no other venue. Since 1993, they have collected art from thrift stores, yard sales, sidewalk trash, and even the artists who create it. They analyze, compare to classic art, and share with thousands of fans around the world.

We'll help your child celebrate it with a bundle of children's poetry books! Register to reserve a bundle of 5 books; we'll make sure they are suitable for your child's age, and we'll throw in a simple  "poem flower" craft when you pick it up through curbside service.

The Hubbard Library Youth Room is offering a monthly book and craft pairing program: check out a book about our theme of the month, schedule a curbside pick up, and take home everything you need to make an accompanying craft!

For the month of April, pick a book about spring or gardens, and get a kit to make a magical wildflower garden!

Hybrid program: Sing With Me!

10:30am - 11:00am

Little ones and their grown-ups, join Youth Services Librarian July for 30 minutes of favorite children's songs & movement! This is a hybrid program: if the weather isn't too cold and safety allows, we'll offer this program out on the library lawn along with a virtual version (masks are required except for babies & 6' distance must be maintained between families). Other times this program will take place only via Zoom.

Hybrid program: "Whose Shoes" Storytime for 5-8 year olds

4:00pm - 4:40pm

A storytime especially for elementary school-aged kids! Youth Services Librarian July will help us "walk a mile" in the shoes of different real-life people, with picture book biographies about real people, some famous and some not, who have inspiring and fascinating stories.

This is a hybrid program: when it's cold or rainy the program will be virtual via Zoom, when it's nice out we'll meet on the library lawn (with an option to attend virtually as well).
