Book & Craft Pairing: Snow/Winter & No-Sew Sock Snowmen

Pick up a book about snow or winter, & get a complete take-home craft kit!

The Hubbard Library Youth Room is offering a monthly book and craft pairing program; check out a book about our theme of the month, and take home everything you need to make an accompanying craft!

This month we're making no-sew sock snowmen to go with books about about snow or winter!

After we receive your registration, we will send you a list of available books about the theme. Write back with your selection or let us know your child's age and ask for a book bundle (7-10 books on the theme already packaged up by age level) and when you pick your selection up from our curbside delivery service, you'll also get a kit that contains everything you need to make this cute craft! If you need enough for multiple children, just let us know!

Please click below to register. Call (413)583-3408 x2 to schedule your curbside delivery appointment.

Virtual program: Sing With Me!

10:30am - 11:00am

Sing With Me, wherever you are!

If you have a little one who loves music, this program is for you! Join us for a half-hour of adult-&-child singing, clapping, and stomping along to favorite kids’ songs; the program will take place on the library lawn when weather and safety allow with equipment set up during the live event for those who wish to participate virtually; the program will happen only via Zoom when needed. Parents & caregivers, please stay with your little ones as this is a program for both of you!

Virtual program: "Whose Shoes" Storytime for 5-8 year olds

4:00pm - 4:40pm

NOW ON TUESDAYS!

Meet Youth Services librarian July for tales about real people who have led funny, fascinating, and inspiring lives! Biographical stories presented in picture book form are the hot new genre, and we’ll get inspired & entertained (& maybe even educated, shhh!) as we spend 30-40 minutes “walking a mile” in different people’s shoes each week! Recommended for ages 5-8.

VIRTUAL PROGRAM! Family Fun Hour: CHARADES!

6:30pm

Family Fun Hour!

Whether you're a first time player or a charades pro, you'll have fun competing against other families for the big win! Olivia will teach the rules & tricks for anyone who's playing for the first time.

When you register, you'll get an email with information about how to log into Zoom. You will also receive three acting prompts to think about and prepare. When we start the game each family will have a turn to act out one of their prompts while the others guess. The family with the most correct guesses at the end of the night will be the winner.

Our website is currently experiencing some difficulties: you may get an error message after you register, but the registrations ARE going through, you do not need to try again. We will do our best to call you to let know we got the registration!

You will need a device with a camera & microphone in order to participate. In order to maintain internet safety, we require registration so that we can send you a private link and a password to get into the session.

REGISTRATION CLOSES 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE PROGRAM BEGINS.
