The Hubbard Memorial Library has a Library of Things! What is a Library of Things? It is a collection of non-traditional library items available for you to check out. Some of our items include laptops, cameras, microphones, sewing machines, lightsabers, speakers, hotspots, and more.

How to borrow?

Some items are available in the Youth Room on the second floor.  Even though those items are in the Youth Room, any one can check them out. To borrow one of those, speak to a children's librarian.  The other items are available at the circulation desk. Ask a librarian there to check out an item.

We have two items that can only be checked out by someone who is 18 years or older: the telescope and mobile hotspots.

Where do I return?

All Library of Things items must be returned to the circulation desk at the Hubbard Memorial Library. They cannot go in our book drop or be returned to another library.

What if I damage an item?

If a borrowed item is returned in unusable condition, you may be charged a replacement fee.
